Coffee beans
Immersion in the world of the coffee bean
What is the natural color of coffee beans?
The fruits of the coffee tree are also known as coffee cherries or "green coffee". The peeled coffee beans then turn brown, thanks to expert roasting that gives them a delicious chocolate color. The master roaster keeps a close eye on the hues of the coffee beans. He smells, listens and lives this crucial transition to the full.
How are coffee beans obtained?
Coffee cherries are dried, then broken to extract the beans. A coffee plant producing 5 kg of fruit cherries yields 1 kg of coffee beans. Once roasted, the beans are cooled and packaged.
